Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery
Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery is a surgery branch dealing with eliminating congenital or acquired abnormalities, share and function disorders and with the body appearance. Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery attends to the surgical solutions to all sorts of problems formed on the body surface. Even if the appearance is taken into account in these operations, the main purpose is to refunction the wounded and vestigial body parts.
The aesthetical surgery aims at reducing the effects of senility, rejuvenating or reshape an unpleasant structure in the body. Surgeries in aesthetics (or cosmetics) are performed not to solve a medical problem but to allow the image of the body to get down to a fine art.
Operations from cosmetic surgeries with the purpose of rejuvenation to innate malformations and traumas are performed at Okan University Hospital, Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetical Surgery Department to solve problems both affecting the physical appearance and deranging the health. The most frequent surgeries performed at the Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetical Surgery Department of our Hospital include aesthetical nose surgeries, liposuction surgeries, augmentation mammoplasty, mastopexy or breast reduction surgeries, abdominoplasty and rhytidoplasty.
